The Great Room Opens Flagship Coworking Centre In Hong Kong
HONG KONG – The Great Room, an operator of high-end coworking spaces, has officially opened its flagship outlet in Hong Kong at the Cheung Kong Center, reported The Edge on Thursday evening (24 November, SGT).
“As travel opens up again, we have noticed that there is a growing demand for coworking spaces with flexible amenities across the region that can deliver a seamless experience. This is why it is imperative for The Great Room to provide an expanded network of spaces to cater to this demand,” said The Great Room’s Chief Executive and Co-founder Jaelle Ang.
Located on level 45 of the Cheung Kong Center, the coworking centre spans 21,000 sq ft. The new flagship outlet contains 22 dedicated offices, including two units for enterprise clients, as well as a work hall housing offices and hot desks. The coworking centre also comes with a nursing room, meeting and event spaces, and private phone booths, in addition to dedicated video conferencing and audio-visual equipment.
The hospitality-inspired flexible workspace also features a full-time barista and provides all-day speciality drinks for members.
“In the post-COVID era, there is no return to before – it is crucial for companies to provide access to a distributed network of workplaces designed for collaboration, productivity and deeper engagement,” added Ang.
A virtual office membership at The Great Room costs HK$900 per month, while a Hong Kong-wide hot desk membership begins from HK$3,600 per month. The most expensive – a dedicated office membership – starts from HK$10,000 per desk per month.
Furthermore, the latest opening marks The Great Room’s 2nd outlet in Hong Kong after One Taikoo Place. It is also the coworking space operator’s 8th location in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region.
The company also revealed that it intends to open two more coworking centres over the new few months – one in Park Silom in Bangkok and another within a 4-storey conservation shophouse in Singapore’s Chinatown area.
