The Flexi Group Add 2 Coworking Centres In Singapore
SINGAPORE – Coworking space operator The Flexi Group now has a total of four outlets in the city-state after completing the acquisition of two former Found8 coworking centres in November 2022, according to a press release published on Wednesday (31 May, SGT).
The two former Found8 coworking outlets have been rebranded as Hive Tanjong Pagar and Hive North Bridge Road. These coworking centres join the group’s existing locations in Singapore, namely Hive Carpenter and Hive Lavender.
In Australia, The Flexi Group is poised to open two new locations in Melbourne in the middle of this year – Hive Abbotsford and Hive Milton House.
This is after the group has signed a partnership deal with Hirsch & Faigen in May 2022, wherein Hive will be the anchor tenant at the Aussie property developer’s latest AU$70 million office project in Melbourne’s East.
The other Australian coworking outlet was secured in October 2021, after the group signed a partnership deal to lease the 3 upper floors of the historic Milton House on Fitzroy Street, St Kilda in Melbourne.
The new Hive coworking centres will join the existing Hive Collingwood and Cluster CBD locations in Melbourne, Australia.
“We see an incredible opportunity to expand our network both organically and through acquisitions in both Australia and Singapore, meeting the significant demand we’ve seen for the hybrid work model in both markets,” said Chris Edwards, CEO of The Flexi Group.
“Despite the economic headwinds, we are extremely bullish for the future of flexible working and looking forward to continued growth in the region,” he added.
The doubling of The Flexi Group’s coworking outlets in Singapore and Australia comes after last year’s merger of three brands – The Cluster, the Hive, and Common Ground – to form the group.
At present, the group has 43 coworking centres across 11 cities and 8 countries in the Asia Pacific region. These include Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Australia.
