SINGAPORE – All of Paya Lebar Quarter’s (PLQ) three office towers have obtained the WELL Core & Shell Certifications at the Gold level from the International WELL Building Institute’s (IWBI), reported The Edge on Wednesday noon (24 August, SGT).
Lendlease, which developed the mixed-use project containing almost 1 million sq ft of Grade A office, announced in a press release on Wednesday that they are the first in Singapore to obtain WELL certifications for office buildings.
In fact, PLQ was the Australian property company’s first group of Singapore projects that registered for WELL Certification in 2017.
Aside from that, PLQ comes with many remarkable green features. These included 100,000 sq ft of green public spaces, filtration systems that keep indoor air quality healthy, and the mixed-use project utilised low volatile organic compounds (VOC).
In addition, Lendlease is the world’s first office landlord to get a WELL portfolio score for its office portfolio from IWBI. The real estate developer’s International Towers Sydney in Australia was the 1st to be awarded WELL Core & Shell Certification at the Platinum level, the highest ranking available from the institute.
“We are humbled to be recognised by the International WELL Building Institute again for our leadership and longstanding commitment in creating well-designed developments that focus on the well-being of our people and the communities around them,” added Lendlease’s Managing Director in Singapore, Ng Hsueh Ling.
