One Exchange Square Wins Top Prize At 2023 Green Building Awards

HONG KONG – Apollo Global Management’s new office fit out at the One Exchange Square development in Central bagged the Grand Award at the 2023 Green Building Awards, according to a press release published on Tuesday evening (5 December, SGT).

The Grand Award was handed out under the ‘Existing Buildings: Interior’ category for outstanding project and cost management services.

The accolade was received by Turner & Townsend’s team who carried out the office fit out works for tenant Apollo Global Management, whose 1,060 sq m new office seamlessly combines the original interior fit out with the occupant’s brand and design aesthetics to create a bright, thriving, and collaborative workspace for its staff.

As the appointed project manager and cost manager for the office fit out, Turner & Townsend’s Hong Kong team managed the consultants related to IT, AV, lighting, acoustic, security and sustainability, while also rendering specialist procurement and change management services.

The eco-friendly features of the office include a lighting system that provides optimal lighting in the office, on top of taking advantage of motion sensors, daylight sensors, and automatic blinds to slash power consumption.

The project also bagged a Platinum rating under the BEAM Plus certification and Excellent Class in the IAQ certification scheme, proving that sustainability can be successfully integrated into modern office design.

“Being recognised with the Grand Award for our contributions to the project, and towards a sustainable built environment in Hong Kong, is a great honour for our team,” remarked Ollie Sneath, Head of Real Estate for Hong Kong, Macau, and Asia at Turner & Townsend.

Jointly organised by the Professional Green Building Council and the Hong Kong Green Building Council (HKGBC), the biennial Green Building Awards aims to promote a wider adoption of sustainable planning, design, construction, maintenance, renovation, and decommissioning of commercial properties in the Chinese territory.
