Law Firm Kennedys Leases 50,000 Sq Ft Office In London’s Walkie-Talkie Bldg

UNITED KINGDOM – Multinational law firm Kennedys has struck a deal to lease 50,000 sq ft of office space at London’s Fenchurch Building, which is famously known as Walkie-Talkie building, reported the Australasian Lawyer on Saturday (8 January, SGT).

The law firm, which is known for its work in the insurance/reinsurance and liability sectors, announced this as part of its office upgrade in London, in line with its major workplace transformation project.

Kennedys said the move will support a hybrid working arrangement and is the result of an in-depth consultation with colleagues and partners based in the UK’s capital.

“As part of WorkWise, our global transformation programme, we’ve spent the last six months speaking to people at all levels of the business to find out what was most important to them, and it is that feedback which will help shape our future workspace,” said Suzanne Liversidge, Global Managing Partner at Kennedys.

“We had already started to introduce increased flexibility, but the pandemic obviously accelerated that. We have also seen a significant shift in what people are looking for from a workplace and we want to reflect that in the design of our global offices,” noted Nick Thomas, a senior partner at the law firm.

Thomas added that the commercial property leases signals not only Kennedys’ continued growth and commitment to its customers, but also their pledge to offer the best working environment for their staff.

Kennedys is expected to start moving into its office space within the Walkie-Talkie building by December 2022.

The global law firm has 43 offices across the globe and it has continued to expand during the COVID-19 pandemic by opening branches in San Francisco, Leeds, Muscat, Perth, and Tel Aviv. It also relocated to larger office spaces in Hong Kong, Manchester, and Melbourne.
