La Française Launches Singapore Office
SINGAPORE – La Française, a multinational asset manager based in Paris with billions worth of assets under management (AUM), has opened a new office in Singapore, according to a recent report from The Edge.
The branch is located at level 33 of Frasers Tower, an office building along Cecil Street within Singapore’s central business district (CBD). That level also houses the local outlet of banking and financial services group Crédit Industriel et Commercial (CIC). CIC and La Française are both members of banking group Crédit Mutuel Alliance Fédérale.
La Française’s new Singapore office marks its 2nd one in the Asia Pacific region after the launch of an outlet in Seoul in 2016. Aside from that, the French global asset manager plans to open a 2nd office in Singapore, subject to the approval by relevant government agencies.
As per a press release published earlier this week, La Française said it’s witnessing a spike in Asian demand for European properties.
“As a leader in the European office real estate space, we recognise the importance of a strong presence in Asia Pacific,” commented Phillipe Lecomte, Chief Executive of La Française AM Finance Services. With the opening of the new Singapore office, the company aims to help Asian real estate investors in the geographical diversification of their property portfolios, he added.
As of 30 April 2022, La Française oversees about EUR2.3 billion (S$3.3 billion) in assets, primarily real estate, on behalf of investors from Asia.
