
JP Morgan Opens New Singapore Office In CapitaSpring
SINGAPORE – JP Morgan has officially opened its new office in CapitaSpring, with its Chairman and Chief Executive Jamie Dimon leading the event on Wednesday, reported The Edge on Thursday morning (9 June, SGT).
The multinational bank’s new office, which spans 7 levels collectively measuring 155,000 sq ft, comes with hi-tech facilities like automated sun screens and real-time air quality sensors. It also features improved amenities such as mini markets, modern client centre, advanced collaborative spaces, and wellness areas installed with ergonomic resting pods.
In accordance with JP Morgan’s pledge to maintain carbon neutral business operations, CapitaSpring is a recipient of the Building and Construction Authority’s (BCA) Green Mark Platinum Award, one of the top eco-friendly certifications in Singapore.
Apart from its new office, the bank also operates from its Singapore Corporate Center, a global tech hub in Changi.
Dimon describes Singapore as a leading financial and technology hub for JP Morgan and a crucial part of the bank’s growth plans in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region.
“Our move to this state-of-the-art workplace reiterates the firm’s commitment to this critical market and provides the opportunity to further secure our long-term growth and future in the country. The new office’s exceptional infrastructure and facilities will enable us to continue meeting the needs of our clients while providing our employees with a best-in-class working environment,” he stated.
JP Morgan Senior Country Officer in Singapore Edmund Lee shared that the bank’s new CapitaSpring office is built on the three foundations of wellness, sustainability, and collaboration.
“From the building selection to the use of innovation and technology, every decision made regarding its design and construction prioritizes the needs of our employees, as well as how the workplace environment will continue to evolve in the future. We are excited to embark on our next chapter of growth in this critical market,” he explained.
Moreover, the opening of the JP Morgan new Singapore office was attended by the bank’s Asia Pacific CEO Filippo Gori and Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Singapore’s Senior Minister and Coordinating Minister for social policies, and Chairman of the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).
Tharman added top financial firms like JP Morgan have contributed to Singapore’s growth as a leading global financial hub.
