THE OFFICE RENTAL INDEX FOR THE CENTRAL REGION ROSE BY 2.1% Q-O-Q IN Q3 2022, WHILE THE ISLANDWIDE VACANCY RATE CONTINUED TO DECLINE TO 11.7%

The rental index of office space in Singapore's central region increased by 2.1% from the previous quarter. The increase follows a 2.4% rise in the second quarter of 2022. There has been a sustained positive effect on the office rental market as a result of the border reopening and employees returning to work at their offices.

In Q3 2022, occupied office space increased by 24,000 sqm net lettable area (NLA). As of Q3 2022, the stock of office space declined by 26,000 sqm NLA, following a decline of 68,000 sqm in Q2. It has been observed that the office vacancy rate on the island has continued to decrease since Q3 2021.
